Time frame and data series reset to default

Hi,

In the strategy analyzer, after I run a backtest, the time frame always resets back to the default. For example, if I choose From: 1/1/2007 To: 8/7/2012, after the simulation runs, it defaults back to From: 1/1/2012 To: 8/7/2012. Is there any way for it not to change back to default. It is time consuming to have to type in the From: data each time I run a simulation.

Also, if I select Data series type of Day (instead of the default of Minute), I sometimes see it reset back to minute. I'm not sure what I'm doing that triggers this, but it happens quite often (but not every time I run the backtest as above).

Hello,

Are you re-selecting your strategy or another strategy between runs?

As long as you are not changing the strategy that is selected, these values should stay the same.

If you would like to change the Default settings, you can setup the custom time range or Data series option you wish and then right click on this options and select "Set Default". These will only be default per strategy, so you will need to repeat it for each strategy you plan on using those settings with.
