    I'm confused.

So what is the difference between MergeBackAdjusted and MergeNonBackAdjusted?

I dont really see any differences between the 2 screenshots.

if it makes any difference at all, I'm trading on the quarterly S&P eminis

Ok, then what about continuous charts? i've tried entering es ##-## but it doesn't work.

and when I tried using either merge policy, the charts dont seem to merge?

          Hello,

Merge policy has no effect on continuous charts - this property effects dated futures contracts only.

What difference are you expecting to see in your charts? If you're looking at recent data where only the 12-12 expiry has been active, there would be no difference between a merged and unmerged chart as we'd not be looking back at historical data from prior contracts.

I dont think you got my question. I want to see continuous charts 09-12 then 12-12 when 09-12 expires but I entered es ##-## and the chart is totally blank. After selecting the merge policy, I dont see 12-12 joined to 09-12 charts

              Hello,

First, make sure that the 'MergeBackAdjusted' setting is in place. Next, create a new ES 12-12 (for example) chart which requests data from the 09-12 period - you should see that data merged and back adjusted, then displayed on the chart.
