Candlesticks

Hello,

I would like to ask you what will happen to (for example in 1 min) candlesticks if there are no incoming ticks? Will the candlestick be created or not? And if not, why?
i ask this because i noticed that candlesticks are created upon ticks, and not time. Is my observation correct?If yes, why?

Your observation is correct here - NT is entirely event and not time based, so if there's no tick coming to close the present developing bar, no new bar would be created - this typically happens on lower activity instruments.

One last question:
Why not creating a flat trendbar with the previous close?Is this a common practise in general or is this something you only do?What are the benefits of this?

Thanks for the feedback and shared idea, we feel this display is more true to market behavior, as with no new price no new bar should be created artificially, which would then in turn influence any analysis technique required bars info as well.
