Default candle outline color and wick color on a new chart

Seems that whenever I create a new chart the candle outline color and wick color are set to black by default. This is very annoying since my charts usually have a black background, which is the default setting of my chart properties.

Why isn't the default color of the candle outlines and wicks just set to the default value of the axis color, which would solve this problem?

Hello Ricam,

You can change the default setting in the Data Series window by right clicking on the settings and selecting 'Set Default For ' ' Period Type'.

You will need to do this for each period type. Day, minute, tick ect.

Between my responses in these 2 threads, you can figure that out. The first one identifies the Pen the you need to to manipulate to change the wick and outline; the second shows how to change the color; albeit in this case to make them look transparent, but it will show you the framework idea.
