use historical data from Kinetick with market analyzer

Hi,

I would like to do some analysis on free market data. Is there a way to load this into the market analyzer and run a strategy like a moving average crossover, stochastic crossover, adx crossover, etc?

Hello SC,

Please note that the free Kinetick EOD connection only provides historical daily data and no real-time data. So you can only load historical daily data in the Market Analyzer.

It is not possible to run an automated strategy in the Market Analyzer. Automated strategies can be run from charts or the Control Center-->Strategies-tab.

historical market data

Kinetick has OK software but not good enough. Best way is to buy your own data (raw data) and build a system (algorithmic trading). I get data from ampere-data.com
they are quite cheap and also display gaps.

I connect to the external data feed on the drop down list. and have been testing strategies that way. Seems to work okay.
