Exporting price data: time stamp is off

I've read some existing posts where the timestamp for exported data may be in UTC format, but what i'm seeing now doesn't make sense at all

I've just downloaded a batch of 1-min data on AUD @ 12:30PM HK time (UTC +8) as per my computer settings, and here are the latest lines of data downloaded:

    20120625 192500;1.0038;1.0038;1.0037;1.0037;1
    20120625 192600;1.0037;1.0038;1.0036;1.0038;1
    20120625 192700;1.0038;1.0038;1.0037;1.0037;1
    20120625 192800;1.0037;1.0037;1.0037;1.0037;1
    20120625 192900;1.0037;1.0037;1.0037;1.0037;1
    20120625 193000;1.0037;1.0037;1.0037;1.0037;1

<-- as u can see the time stamp doesn't make sense... any suggestions on how to shift it back to my local time?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

When exporting data the time stamp used will automatically be set to UTC as opposed to the local PC clock and cannot be changed.

I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over Exporting Data.

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

but that's the thing... for HK time 12:30PM, UTC time should be 04:30AM........

how is it giving me 19:30PM? It's neither my local settings nor UTC

Please close NinjaTrader and sync your PC clock by double clicking on the clock in the lower right corner of your desktop. Once you have done that, click on Internet Time tab-->Change Settings-->Select time.nist.gov from the drop down menu and then click Update.

The PC clock should now be updated and you may restart NinjaTrader. Next right mouse click within your chart and select "Reload historical data" then attempt to export data again.

            hi Christopher,

have another small problem. I'm running Ninja from my other PC, and when I export data here, it uses my computer's local time zone instead of GMT in the time stamp - even after changing the internet time settings to time.nist.gov.... any idea how to change the time stamp here to GMT as well?

On this comp i'm using WIndows Vista

When Exporting data from NinjaTrader data will automatically use UTC and will then adjust to the Local PC clock time when Importing.

I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over Exporting and Importing data:
