Disconnected by Placing Order

    Disconnected by Placing Order

    NT ver 5.0.1004

    Have had this problem with this version(twice today) as well as previous release(once).

    - Control Center shows 'Connected - Patsystems'.

    - Immediately after placing a strategy order in Super Dome NT announces 'connection lost'.

    - Order shows 'pending' status under 'Orders' tab in 'Control Center'.

    - NT re-connects to Patsystems. Order in fact gets canceled but NT still shows 'pending.

    Must shut down NT and re-load. Then 'pending' changes to canceled.

    Missed two entries today because of this. All my other data feeds still seemed to be online at the time. Any suggestions?

    Some FCM's have had issues with connectivity this past week. Likely related but I can't be 100% positive. Disconnect messages are notified from the Patsystems API and in return notified to the user. NinjaTrader itself does not determine when a disconnection happens. Please monitor if this problem persists in the next few days please let us know.

      I did some further testing of this issue and have found that the immediate 'Connection Lost' and 'hanging of order' at time of placing an order occurs only after there has been a previous 'Connection Lost' announcement and 'Re-Connection'.

      I did the following set of steps 4 times with exact same results.



      Squence #1:

      - NT running normally.

      - Dis-connect internet. Receive NT 'Connection Lost' announcement.

      - Re-connect internet. Receive NT 'Re-connect' chimes.

      - Place an order. Get Immediate NT 'Connection Lost' announcement and 'order hanges'. Must shut down NT to remove 'Pending order'.



      Squence #2:

      - NT running normally.

      - Dis-connect internet. Receive NT 'Connection Lost' announcement.

      - Re-connect internet. Receive NT 'Re-connect' chimes.

      - Close down NT and re-load NT.

      - Place an order. NT operates as normal.



      For now I will simply shut downand open NT when ever a 'Connection Lost' announcement occurs.
