It seems I am in the same situation as the other posters regarding FXCM demo.

I have one workspace open, with one EURUSD 120 min chart open. The chart is set to load only 2 days of data, yet I receive the error:

"Error on loading chart data for '$EURUSD Default': Unable to get historic rates. Unknown issue for instrument '$EURUSD Default'"

Same error when I try to "reload all historical data" as well.

I went through the "Reset Instruments" and "Repair DB" options, with no change.

I spoke with FXCM's live chat (tier-1 support) and they were unable to help me. I'm waiting on tier-2 to call me.

Was anyone able to find a solution?

EDIT: After digging in the trace file I am seeing this error repeatedly:
"Fxcm.Adapter.onTablesUpdate1: Method not found: 'Boolean fxcore2.O2GOfferRow.get_isAskValid()'"

EDIT 2: Uninstalled NT, re-installed NT, also deleted the DB folder. No change.

    Thanks!
    Daniel

I have seen this error next to your first EDIT resolved with a basic uninstall/reinstall of NinjaTrader however if the error.

After resetting the instruments please restart NinjaTrader then open a new chart.

If the issue persists please send a note to Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com with "ATTN: Chris Jameson" in the subject line.
In the message, please include the following:

1.) A link to this forum thread.
2.) Your most current trace and log files.

You will find the file here: My Documents > NinjaTrader 7-> Trace > trace.YYYYMMDD.txt

Log file will be located by going to Documents->NinjaTrader 7->Log->log.YYYYMMDD.txt

After uninstalling and re-installing it initially didn't work. After playing with it further (and repeating steps I've already done), it eventually started working!

I don't think it mattered, but I did disconnect from FXCM, connected to Kinetick, verified that the charts worked, disconnected from Kinetick, re-connected to FXCM, and eventually it seemed the charts started working (this is all after the re-install of NT)

Though, I must say, it's extremely slow compared to Kinetick! ;]

EDIT: I spoke too soon. No longer working after re-starting NT.

EDIT 2: I'm beginning to give up on FXCM. Can someone recommend a broker that works with NT, allows trading off the charts, that has solid data, good spreads, and doesn't require $25K deposit? Perhaps it doesn't exist. (I've looked at the "NT Partners" page and I'm struggling to find a good one)
