Using different instrument/symbol in indicator

Hi,

I have a chart where I load i.e. the symbol SPY. Then, in an indicator in the same chart window, I want to plot the VIX. But when I choose "input series" in the "Indicators" settings of the chart, I can only choose indicators and SPY (high, low, close, etc).

How can I choose another symbol than SPY for my indicator?

Thank you for your post.

To choose another data series for the input of an indicator on the chart you must first add the data series to the chart.
