NT7 crashes on IB Feed during market close for futures

At 5:00 pm and 12:00 pm (also at 00.30 AM) when the IB puts up questions marks for the futures contracts NT7 crashes. What can be done to stop this. My algorithm runs 24/7.

There is not anything we can do about the nightly disconnects, however you should not see NinjaTrader crash during this time.

Can you please double check a few items in your Connection Options to Interacitve Brokers?

Particularly, make sure that "Backup" Data feed is set to None. Please also check that you have "SSL" unchecked. If you needed to change either of these items, please make sure to finish the wizard and let us know if you see this again moving forward.

If you're sure this all correct, Please send an email to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com and include your most recent log and trace files from the last time this occurred, Attn: Matthew in the Subject line and a reference to this thread.

You will find the log file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

* The log file will be named ‘log.20120612.txt’

Thanks, I'll check those settings. Please could you outline what behavior I should expect during these times. Ideally, NT7 should automatically reconnect.

At this time, NinjaTrader will become disconnected from the TWS, but should remain running. Unfortunately, it will require a manual reconnect once their servers are back online.
