Win server 2003 or 2008

Hi support!

I'd have question to run the strategy.
-Which op. system does NT prefer? Win server 2003 or 2008?
- When I'd like simply run the strategy -Calculate on Bar close 15 min, 4 chart- how big RAM need it? Is it engough 512 Mb?
- Which server typ can you recommend, VPS server or Cloud?

Hi Ron,

Thanks for your post.

Currently, we would recommend the Server 2003 operating system. While Server 2008 has worked in most cases, this operating system is not yet officially supported.

In terms of RAM, 512 MB will not be sufficient. You'll need to include at least 2 GB of RAM to meet our minimum system requirement.

Unfortunately, we have no official recommendation in terms of server type.

Hello,

is there any progress concerning official test of win server 2008 with using NT? If I buy server 2003 R2, that isn't cheap, I don't know till when I can get update to this. Has you any problem respond who usees win server 2008 from? What happend if I'd use 2008 R2?

Ron,

There are no known issues with WinServer 2008. We have several clients running NinjaTrader through VPS, etc and I have not seen any specific issues caused by using this version.
