Can't get nq future charts

I have tried several times to get a NQ 06-12 futures chart. I get an error message that says " you need at least one data series to creat chart". I use IB and it says that I am connected.

I am putting in NQ 06-12 at the very top and then ok and then I get the above message.

What am I doing wrong? thanks

Thanks for your post.

After entering NQ 06-12 in the box at the top of the window, click Enter. You should then see the instrument added to the list on the lower left side of the window indicating that the series has been selected.

Also, all the defaults for futures are from 2011

Hello,

Please roll over the futures which are added to the default list, then double-click on any of the instruments in that list within the Data Series menu to add the series to the list on the lower left side of the window.

Please follow the instructions below to rollover the expiration date of a futures contracts.

• From within the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Instrument Manager
• Highlight the contract you wish to rollover in the left side of the Instrument Manager window
• Press the ">" button (the instrument will disappear from the list)
• Press the "<" button and the instrument should re-appear with the front month expiration date

Ok...I finally got the chart...thanks a lot
