Default Instrument

If I add a new strategy in the Control Center Stragegies Tab, I always get $USDHKD als default instrument. Is there any way to change that to $EURUSD?

If you right click in the strategies properties, you can click "Set as default" which will save those settings as the default for next time you add it.

moon_121, to clarify - unfortunately this outcome would be expected - it would not be possible to save a default instrument for the strategy used.

In your code you could always execute and work on a added series that you could hardcode in.

Strange

Strange. What I don´t understand, is why $UDSHKD is the default instrument when I load a strategy. That is a forex somewhere in my Default list. Its not at the top or bottom. This is an indication, that the instrument must be the default somewhere, perhaps in a template.

Correct observation moon_121, we will look into and get back to you with more clarification.

For now there would be unfortunately not way to set or streamline the default instrument choosing, we have this on our list for future consideration though to enhance.
