Strategy disabled

hi, i noticed that, interactive brokers do make their data farms go offline an hour or so for maintenance everyday, and ninjatrader will keep trying to reconnect, which is nice.

But, once a while, ninjatrader would just give up trying reconnect and all strategies were disabled (due to no data connection) even after the datafarm come back online. How to resolve this problem? Thanks

Hi lawrence124, thanks for the post, so you mean after the round of reconnect attempts NT would stay then in 'ConnectionLost' for you then even after IB's datafarm connection was restored?

yes, the log said:
12:17pm strategy xxx lost price action but will keep running
12:17pm strategy xxx lost price connection more than 4 times in last 5 minutes, and will be disabled
12:17pm disabling NinjaScript strategy xxx

12:27:07pm primary connection = connected, price feed = connectionlost
12:27:13pm primary connection = connected, price feed = connected

then i will have to enable all the strategies again manually

I see, thanks - you can change the connection loss handling settings for your strategies under Tools > Options > Strategies > NinjaScript, so they could withstand a higher # of reconnect attempts or higher delays.
