Installation of Both Live and Demo NT7 on Same Computer

Hi Gentlemen,

Is it possible to install two instances of NT7 on the same computer, one with a live license key and the other with a demo license key. The issue is that the live license limits connection to only a few approved data feeds while with a demo key more data feeds are available.

I realize that I can switch from the live account to Sim101 account, but I will be still limited to a few data feeds. But, sometimes I need to access other data feeds in demo operation to access certain information.

What is the workaround for this, short of having to have two separate computers.

Thank you for your post.

You cannot have two installations of Ninjatrader 7 on the same PC. However, you can switch between the two licenses quickly without uninstalling or shutting down NinjaTrader.

Go to Help > License Key, and then enter in the license key you wish to use.

Use a Virtual Machine for each extra installation of NT. That is how I can still be coding on my Demo licence even as I place trades with my live licence.

I use VirtualBox. It seems to have the most efficient footprint of the VM's from the big boys.
