Indicators don't work until 20+ bars

Hi,

I have an indicator that draws rays. I've been looking at new stocks and I've noticed the indicator doesn't kick in and draw the rays until 20 bars are on the screen. I thought it may just be my custom indicator but your SMA one doesn't kick in until 22 bars are available. What is going on? Any clue?

I think 20 is the default value for BarsRequired:

Yes, Radical is correct in that different indicators require different amounts of bars to paint before being calculated.
For your SMA indicator, what period are you using?
