Charting synthetic assets

Hello,

apologies if there is an obvious way of doing this which I may have missed.

I would like to compute my own synthetic assets, which are defined as linear combinations of basic assets set up in Instrument Manager, and plot them in charts. In particular, I am thinking about currency indices for single currencies, e.g. an AUD index which would be a weighted sum of various cross rates involving AUD.

Is there any way I could set up such an asset and be able to chart it just like 'normal' assets obtained directly as market data?

This would be need to be an indicator, but it can replace the main series graphics in your chart. An example that already does this is the Heiken Ashi indicator that comes with NinjaTrader.

Basically, you could create a multi-instrument indicator, define any rules for setting the high/low/open/close and then use that as a reference sample for plotting to charts as candlesticks.

There is something similar in our indicator downloads called "SpreadCandlesticks", but it doesn't place it on your main chart as some of the Heiken Ashi properties and functionality was editted out.
