strategy optimizer and 24GB log files.

Hello all,

I tried to backtest and optimize my strategy, and after more than 24 hours Ninjatrader created some log files (6GB, 24GB).
Is there a way to disable the log files? How is it possible that ninja create 24GB log files, and not divide them into smaller ones?

Hi Frederic, thanks for the post - log and trace files would be created per every day the software is run and not splitup into parts here - are you doing any custom logging in your strategy with Log()?

no, I do not. Looks like ninjatrader is making a loop by optimizing my strategy and is writting some logs, that of course i can not open ( how to open 24GB log files?? ).

is there a solution to avoid it?

You could unfortunately not disable the logging - please exit NT and delete those files and then restart and check if you would get the same behavior with the SampleMACrossOver strategy provided from us?
