Backtest number of trades instead of timeframe

Is it possible or could it be possible with some custom coding to be able to run a backtest that returns a number of trades instead of running a backtest for a specific timeframe. So say you wanted 500 trades for your backtesting results you could enter 500 and once the number of trades in the backtest reached this number it would stop the backtest.

    Thanks

    Driftintoad,

This wouldn't be possible through the backtesting engine itself, however what you can do is assign a user defined variable to however many trades you want your strategy to make, then have the strategy disable itself once that is reached.
