Mac Windows 7 partition size

Hello I'm running a new mac with a 500 GB disk space and I'm currently in the motions of installing Windows 7 onto it solely for running Ninja and trading. I'll be running Windows through bootcamp.
My question is what is a suitable partition size to allocate for Windows to insure ninja and everything else that comes with trading will run well and I will not be needing more space in the future? And should I run the 32 or 64 bit Windows version?

Hello bjvowles,

If you first install NinjaTrader, it is not that big. I believe it will be less than 100 MB. It will take more room as you download historical data or import add-ons such as indicators and strategies. It is hard to say how much room it will take since it depends on how NinjaTrader is used. However a few GB should normally be sufficient.

NinjaTrader 7 is supported in both 32 and 64 bit.

what partition size did you end up using?

I ended up using 60GB. In hindsight I think this was pretty stingy, I would have rathered run a 100GB space. It seems to be filling up pretty quickly and I'm not sure how easy is to expand bootcamp
