    Keyboard shortcuts for crosshairs type

It would be great if, instead of having to use my hands to type "Ctrl+R" or "Ctrl+Q" or "Ctrl+G", that you would change it so that either:

    1) There is a single shortcut which cycles through all three
    2) Holding down shift or ctrl or both causes the crosshairs to appear.

This would allow those of us who like to keep our hands on the mouse and off the keyboard to assign a keyboard shortcut to a single mouse button which would do the job. As it stands, I have to use two mouse buttons just to use the crosshairs.

I do not like the toolbar as it takes up space, and having to move the mouse up and hit the toolbar, and then click twice, takes up too much time for the type of quick crosshairs use that many users have, thus saying "Just put up the toolbar" is not feasible. Many users, I suspect, like me, use the crosshairs for probably less than 2 seconds or so, and need a very fast way to show it, and hide it.

Question in this area...with the pointer selected, it will not print when you save a chart (with a Snagit option)....however crosshairs do print when you graphically save a chart...is that the intention...??.....would personally prefer the crosshairs not to print when a chart is saved graphically ....possibly an option here when formatting crosshairs and pointer...??

Incidentally currently find can get back and forth between pointer & crosshair with Alt+z and Alt+x Hot Keys quite easily while one hand remains on the mouse......

        Thanks....

edit...have since noticed crosshair does not print when using Ninja to save a chart...seems to be a Snagit problem that it shows....probably not worth fussing with this....thanks....

          Hello Alfred,
The cross hair is drawn by NinjaTrader and is not part of the default system mouse pointer and thus if you use a screen capturing tool the cross hair is also included.

Instead of using any 3rd party application you can also save the charts via NinjaTrader itself:
          • Right click on the chart
          • In the context menu click on Image>Save As

Glad the configured hotkeys made things simplier. You can further reference here to know more on Hotkeys http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...ey_manager.htm

Please let me know if I can assist you any further.

This is as expected. When using snagit, I sometimes will hold the pointer on the title bar and capture it that way, or quickly (or not so quick as is the point of this thread) switch to no crosshairs.
