Excuse my ignorance, but what does ETH and RTH stand for?

can anyone tell me if the default futures sessions settings are up to date? It seems like some of them are not the same as per the exchange, example:

Feeder Cattle(GF) is using CME Commodities RTH session, which is 9:05am - 1:00PM, but on the CME website, it says from 9:05 to 1:55PM Central time.

ETH stands for Electronic Trading Hours while RTH starts for Regular Trading Hours.

The ETH for GF is MON 9:05 a.m. - FRI 1:55 p.m. Central Time. The RTH hours are 9:05AM-1:00PM.

but which session template should I use in NT? the CME Commodities ETH is from 5PM to 3:15PM

The ETH session spans from for example, Monday 5PM to Tuesday 3:15PM. That is more than 22 hours.

It really depends on your trading style what session template you will use and unfortunately we are in no position to comment on that.

what I meant was which session template should I use for GF trading 9:05 to 1:55PM, is there such a template? are the pre-defined templates up-to-date to what the exchanges specify (on the web for example) if my install is relatively recent within 6 months.

Our session templates are upto date. If you want to use any custom session template you can build one by following the below steps:

• In Control Center menu bar goto Tools>Session Manager...
• In the Session Manager dialog click on the New button.
• Define a name of the new session template
• Click on the Add button to define the dates.
• Click on the Save button

am I missing something? I am not able to find a session for GF with trading hours 9:05Am - 1:55PM, as specified bt the CME.

The CME Commdities RTH session in NinjaTrader starts from 9:05AM and ends at 1:00PM. You have make a custom session template for any other time frame.

Please follow the below steps to create your own custom sessions template

• In Control Center menu bar goto Tools>Session Manager...
• In the Session Manager dialog click on the New button.
• Define a name of the new session template
• Click on the Add button to define the dates.
• Click on the Save button
