    sim to live ?

    how do u use sim on live account and go back and forth saftly ? thanks

    Hello benrock,

    Thank you for your post.

    You will be able to use the Sim101 account while using NinjaTrader with a live license.


    You can place any trades into the Sim101 account from any of the account drop down menu's within NinjaTrader. To place a live trade, please select your live brokerage account from the account drop down menus.

    NinjaTrader 7 has a feature called "Global Simulation Mode"


    • Control Center > File > Global Simulation Mode


    If this is checked, NinjaTrader will start in Global Simulation Mode which will lock the account drop down menus to the Sim101 account.

    To trade your live account you must un check "Global Simulation Mode"

    To turn this feature off, please follow the instructions below:


    • Control Center > Tools > Options
    • Simulator tab
    • Under the "Misc" section un check "Always start in simulation"
    • Click "OK"

      yea but how do i select from live to sim , cause when i press on it it just says grid

        Hello benrock,

        If you set NinjaTrader to "Global Simulation Mode" all account drop down menus will be locked to the Sim101 account and thus no live orders will be placed when this option is enabled.

        If Global Simulation Mode is turned off, please make sure to specify which account that you are using on any order input window account drop down menu. If this drop down is set to "Sim101" then any orders that are input will be simulation/paper orders.

        If you set this account drop down to your live account, then any orders submitted will be live orders.

          im still not sure what your talking about , how do i switch from live to sim

            in my account drop down i have 3 accounts , i guess 2 sim and 1 live , but when i press on them nothing happens
