    Session issue

    I have a strange session issue that I can't figure out. I'm looking at 6B data for 17/18 april 2012. If I use my session CME FX ETH, which has Tues end 1600, Tues start 1700, Wed end 1700 etc (which is 2200 and 2300 in my time zone) I get this order of data running a backtest

    BIP = 0 time = 17/04/2012 23:58:00
    BIP = 0 time = 17/04/2012 23:59:00
    BIP = 0 time = 18/04/2012 00:00:00
    BIP = 0 time = 18/04/2012 23:01:00
    BIP = 0 time = 18/04/2012 23:02:00
    BIP = 0 time = 18/04/2012 23:03:00

    It's missed out most of the 18th and jumped straight to 2300. If I use Default 24/7, I see all the data for 18th. If I try a week earlier, I see all the data for 11th. Any ideas?

    thanks
    Dave

    Hello Dave,

    If you create a custom session template that duplicates the hours of the CME FX ETH settings, do you see the same behavior?

    If a duplicate session tempalte works, I would suggest shutting down NinjaTrader, navigate to Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db\cache and delete the CME FX ETH session template folder.

    Once that has been deleted, please test it again.

      Yes, that worked, thanks.

      Is this a known problem then? Corrupted session config causing whole days to be missed from Strat Amalyzer? It's not easy to spot unless you carefully analyse your results.

        Dave,

        If anything was to get corrupted it could throw off results. It is the traders responsibility to go in and analyze their results for accuracy.

          Yes, it is the trader's responsiblity to analyze their results, but not their responsiblity to analyze whether the strat analyzer / session processing is broken or not. If it's a known issue, stick it on a web page somehere so I don't waste a day trying to figure out what's going wrong. Please.
