Simulated Data Feed

Hi,

I've downloaded NinjaTrader and was hoping to set up the simulated data feed to use whilst I'm working through the online webinars on the youtube channel.

I currently don't have a subscription to any intraday data providers, I've only set up connections to Google, Yahoo and Kinnetic (end of day) data. Is it still possible for me to use the simulated data feed to populate live charts, i.e. 5 minute, 15 minute, etc? And if so how do I do this?

It says I am connected ok but I can't seem to load charts in any increments less than daily. I'm getting a blank chart page.

Hi Parkzo,

Yes, the simulated data feed is free random fake data. You may need to set the sim feed start price for an instrument. Click Tools > Instrument Manager > Edit an instrument and then set Sim feed start price. More information on the simulated data feed is available here:
