DTN/IQ and IB for execution only

Hi,

I currently use DTN/IQ as datafeed and place my order via IB TWS. I would like to make use of the NT ATM and have my order send from NT to IB. I know this works but the issue as far I as know is that the real time data would come from IB. This is not feasible for me since I need proper volume info and we know what IB's volume is like. So my question:

How can I use DTN/IQ for realtime and historical data and only route the orders to IB? If not possible, can I have 2 NT running on the same machine with a single license, one connected to DTN/IQ and the other to IB as an execution platform?

Hello Phil,
It is not possible to run 2 instances of NinjaTrader.

You can however create a multiple connection to get data from DTN and submit orders to IB. Please connect to DTN first and then to IB. This will make sure you are getting data from DTN and your orders will be submitted to IB.

Thanks for your quick reply. Did not realise that it was that simple, it is working fine. Except I forgot about the fact that only the Dynamic DOM is available with IB. Not prepare to pay the extra $0.2 RT for the static DOM. If I was I would subscribe to Button Trader for IB which is a much superior execution platform in my opinion.
