IB and NT newbie question

I have accounts at IB, and I followed the connection guide to link IB TWS to NinjaTrader, it is able to successfully access my accounts.

I am going to start running my automated strategy, and want to know if there is anything special I need to do either from the NT side, or the IB side to verify the orders are correctly hitting up, fills etc.?

ANy tips suggestions for doing this are appreciate, just want to make sure I dont have any issues before running live.

Also if anyone has any tips/suggestions for using the IB TWS, or tips on this, and when something goes wrong, would be nice to know what I need to do, if there is an issue/problem.
