    GAIN Order activity suspended

I have a strategy that modifies stop loss orders as data arrives.
For the most part it works well. However, I have an issue where if the order is modified after the day rolls over into a new day, GAIN rejects the order modification and my strategy is cancelled and the position closed. My strategy is designed to monitor a position for a number of days if necessary, so it needs to be able to continuously update the orders.
I have attached the last few entries of the log. It can be seen that prior to 1:30am the orders a modified ok. after 1:30, it is rejected saying "New order activity suspended".

Is there any way around this issue?

btw, 'Exit on Close' is set to false.

This seems to be an error from GAIN. The market closes at 1:30AM? If that is the case then that may be why GAIN does not let you submit orders. To sidestep this maybe you can try limiting your chart/strategy to have session end at 1:30AM. This way your strategy won't submit orders past 1:30 anyways.

I am not really sure why 1:30, but it has happened a couple of times now. I am trading FX and it was a Tuesday night, so there shoud be no difference.
Is there any known reason why GAIN woud post that message?

You will have to ask GAIN why they suspended trading. They do this regularly during news events.

          Thanks,
Is there any code I can add to my strategy to allow for this kind of interruption? I have been closed out of a couple of good winning trades because of this...

Unfortunately not, we are not even warned through the API when trading is disabled.

Didn't want to start another thread and thought this thread was the best fit.

I had an error with my orders last night with Forex.com and not entirely sure why. I have attached a screen print from the log file.
Please can someone explain why the order didn't work so I can prevent it happening again.

              Kind regards

                Hello samuelhogg,

The error indicates the order could not be modified due to a changed order type. Are you aware of any changes in regards to order type?

Am I correct the order was held overnight?

I suggest to contact your broker as well regarding this error message for clarification.
