Same daily volume on multiple CL contracts

Hi,

I'm trying to compare daily volume on different month contracts for the CL to see which one is traded more. If I compare the March 7th volume for CL 04-12 and CL 05-12, they are the same. I've done that for several days, they all seem to be the same. I have a daily chart open for CL 04-12 and a daily chart open for CL 05-12.

I must be doing something wrong. I just don't know what.

Is there a way I can see historical volume for just one contract month?

Make sure your merge policy for CL is set to "Do not merge"
