Cannot create chart from historical data

Returning to NT after some absence.

I have historical ES mini futures data (minute OHLCV) from July 2007 to Dec 2008.

I have created a dummy contract ES 06-12 in the instrument manager. (Can't generate contracts with an expiry date in 2008 but I don't think this matters - am I mistaken?)

Data text file in the correct specified format and labelled ES 06-12.Last.txt as per help file. Data imported successfully (I can see it all on the Edit tab of the Historical Data Manager) with the option checked to generate daily bars therefrom. So far so good.

I cannot, however, create a chart using this data.

File/New/Chart

ES 06-12 Add

1 minute
End date = say, 31/12/2008 for 5 days worth of data.

Chart remains blank.

Any ideas?

Thank you for your post.

This may be due to the merge policy being used. Please go to Tools > Options > Data, is the merge policy set to DoNotMerge?
If so, please change the merge policy to MergeBackAdjusted and then reload historical data in your chart (right click > select Reload All Historical Data).

If you are still unable to view the data please attach your text file to your response so I may investigate this matter further.

Thanks for the speedy response.

The merge policy is already set to 'MergeBackAdjusted'.

By text file do you mean you want me to send you the whole data file? It's 23 MB.

It works OK when I rename the data series ES ##-##.Last.txt and plot ES ##-## instead.
