    NinjaTrader 7.1000.9. won't start in Windows 7

    Hi! I downloaded and installed the simulation version of the newest NinjaTrader (7.1000.9., if I'm correct). In the future I'd like to buy it, but before that I want to get acquainted with Ninja, that's why I downloaded the demo version of it.

    I downloaded the 'setup.exe' file, I installed it, but after I double-click on the icon of NinjaTrader, it immediately crashes and says "NinjaTrader stopped running". The situation is the same with the 64-bit and the 32-bit version, too. I thought I didn't have the .NET Framework installed on my computer, so just to be sure I installed the .NET Framework 4.0, but that didn't help either. It still crashes immediately after clicking on the icon of NinjaTrader.

    What could be the problem? I'm looking forward to your answers!

        I have the exact same issue (or it appears to be) as DHOP. Please advise me what I need to do to fix this.

            I looked at all the processes running in Windows Task Manager and tried stopping any that might lock system resources. When I killed the background processes associated with Apricorn, which is a system backup/snapshot utility, then NT7 was able to start. Please note that the Apricorn background processes would have been active back in September also, so something changed between then & now to cause NT7 to no longer work when Apricorn was in the background. I also do some research, does this article woks?

              I'd like to see your log and trace files. Please send me a note to platformsupport (at) ninjatrader (dot) com. Attach your most current log and trace files to the email, and put a link to this forum post in the body of the email. Please note "ATTN: Drew" in the body of the response.

              You will find the log file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

              The log file will be named "log.20150329.txt"

              You will find the trace file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

              The trace file will be named "trace.20150329.txt"

                Nice post. Actually to say, the more that I know about Windows is just is just about how to recover lost password on Windows. Windows Password Recovery is the tool that I got on Google.
