I'm sorry Brett, but I'm not getting that? Could you give me a example?
How will this find the Flat status of a Position that was closed Internally?

Hello,

It would not be used for that exactly.

It would be used to just say hey, the order the currently executed what is its name. If the name is equal to close position then that order was an order executed to close a position so I can set my market position back to flat.

Hopefully writing it this way will help with the concept of what to do here.

I do not advise this method as you are making an assumption you are flat based on the fill or a close position named order.

Is there no other way to get the Flat and Long, or Flat and Short position status from NinjaTrader's internal order handling? This seems pretty basic...

No, only there is only a strategy specific "black boxed" strategy position which applies only to the strategy position.
