    Getting Phantom Alerts

    Hello,

    I set up "Alert" and "Cell" conditions for currencies in the Market Analyzer window to alert when a T3Average crossover occurs. The specific sound alerts are "Alert1" & "Alert3", but when the alert sounds I hear "Alert2" and "Alert4".

    I also don't see the cell conditions triggering. There's no color change.

    I also have the CalculateOnClose set to True, but it's alerting as if it's False.

    Cannot someone tell me how to resolve this?

    One more thing. I went into the "Sounds" library and manually played the files to ensure they were correctly labeled. They were.

      Hello,

      Thank you for your post.

      Please be sure to check other Workspaces you may have open and running in the background as well. You can see all open Workspaces by going to File-->Workspaces and all open workspaces will be listed at the bottom.

      Please let me know if the issue persists after this procedure.

        Hello ChristopherJ,

        Nope. There's only one workspace open. There are only 2 charts and I made sure that there were no sound alerts on either. The only sound alert was set up in the Market Analyzer window. Do I need to reinstall NT7?

          As a test please use the steps I have provided below to move your current Workspaces:
          • Close NinjaTrader
          • Documents
          • NinjaTrader 7
          • Workspaces
          • Select all files and move to another location on your PC such as your Desktop
          • Restart NinjaTrader
          • Open a new chart with no template applied

          Please let me know if you continue to receive the Alert after this procedure.

            I did the instructions sequentially exactly as stated. There were frequent alerts since I had the chart set to 30 seconds for testing purposes, but at this point, I haven't heard any alerts in about 15 minutes.

              What am I suppose to do now? The problem still is not resolve.

                I suggest goinig thru each indicator applied to your chart to check for any audio files that may be attached.

                  Just for future reference if anyone comes across this same issue, here's the resolution:

                  I was using the T3Average indicator as a signal. Even though it was set at only 35 periods, I thought it would be the equivalent of a regular 35-period SMA needing only a 50-period look back, but the look back in the Market Analyzer has to be set to a 200-period look back for it to calculate correctly and the "look back period" may have to be set even higher if the T3Average is set to higher than what I used.
                  This may apply to other indicators also. Well, hope this helps.
