Moving Backtest Results

Two questions here:

1. When I run a backtest and save the results, is there a file that I can then place on another computer just to pull up and view the results? If so, will it work even if the NT on the other computer doesn't have the same strategy in its files?

2. Has there been any progress on being able to export all trades for a backtest of a basket of instruments? From what I've found in the forums, it appears you still have to go to the trade tab for each instrument, then export that grid and combine it all at the end. Sucks when I'm looking at 500+ stocks.

Hi pretender,

Best way to get results to your friend is with the Right Click > Grid menu > Send to excel or file. Saved results won't work if your friend does not have the strategy installed.

There have been no recent changes to combining trades when backtesting a list of instruments. I'm happy to forward your request for this to our product development team. Thanks for the feedback.

But if I did import the corresponding assemblies the saved results can be read on my friend's computer? Where/What's the file that I would need to send over?

Saved backtest results are stored in your database file here:
Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db\NinjaTrader.sdf

This file also contains custom instrument, trade executions, saved ATM strategy templates, and custom session templates.
