    unable to connect to esignal data

    Hello,

    After using Ninja with esignal data for quite some time, All of a sudden, I am no longer able to connect to esignal data. I do not think this is a specific esignal problem as I can still connect to esignal data using the esignal platform and my username and password. Any assistance you can provide will be appreciated.

    When attempting to connect, does an error trigger? If so what does that error report?

      Indicated error is "Unable to connect to Tick Server Host".

      I have also looked in the Ninja Trader log files in mydocuments\ninjatrader 7\logs and it looks like there is a ninja trader specific server possibly being connected to that is referred to by ip address. All subsequent attempts to connect then fail. If you'd like the logs / traces, I can send them along, just tell me where.

        Hi,

        Thanks for getting back to me.

        Please remove and then recreate the connection to eSignal:
        • Please go to the Tools menu--> select Account Connections--> highlight the connection--> click Remove
        • Restart NinjaTrader
        • Please go to the Tools menu--> select Account Connections and recreate the account connection.

                The same problem has occured for me too. Email with the config file has been sent to support AT Ninjatrader. Please help to clarify. Thank you.

                  Can you please tell me what ticket number was assigned to your case? You should find this in the subject line of the auto-responder that was received after your initial request.

                    This ended up being an Esignal problem. I have talked to them twice and they have indicated to me that there is a problem connecting / logging on on their end for third party connections. They indicate their engineers are working on it and they give no eta for solving the problem. I talked to them at about 8:00 PM PST yesterday and then again a few moments ago and still no eta.

                        The case number is 623179, the connection to eSignal is working fine using esignal software 10.6.

                          Esignal just called me to tell me the problem is solved with third party platforms. Looks like Everything is working for me in Ninja.

                            I'm ran into the same issue. Since I don't have "Level II" access nor "News" access, I just clear out those boxes in the connection setup. After I cleared those, I can connect without error.

                            However, when I bring up a chart, no bars load. It does NOT say "loading...". It just sits there. There is also no error in the log.

                            What am I missing?

                            EDIT: I am using the latest eSignal 10.6 and NT 7.0.1000.9
