Need to reload charts at startup

    Need to reload charts at startup

    I have this issue since I started using NT7
    Every time I run NT7 at startup, the charts need to be reloaded because the backfill is incomplete (both CQG and ZenFire)

    Can you fix it?

      Hi Sergio66,

      Thanks for the feedback. NinjaTrader will request historical data for any active charts when you first connect. See here (When does NinjaTrader load historical data?) for more information:


      If you want to disable this, you can turn off historical data for the connection, managed in Tools > Account Connection screen.

        I think you misunderstood. I have to manually reload historical data because NT wont do it for us, even though I have my charts set so The End date parameter of the Data Series window contains the current day. It is not working as expected.

        This am is a perfect example. I had to reload historical data on my tick charts at 9:00am EST. My min charts loaded the missing data just fine.

            i shut down yesterday evening around 5:30 pm est. Started up this am around 8:45 am est.

              Thanks it should automatically request data upon connecting and startup. Can you please send in your workspace so we can attempt to reproduce here tomorrow morning? Send using Help > Mail to support feature, make sure workspaces is checked and include a link to this thread.

              Can you also let us know which connections you use, and if ConnectOnstartup is used for these connections. Thank you for sending in these files and information.

                i use zen-fire connection with connect on startup OFF. I manually connect each morning. I will send you the workspace.

                        Yes, but I have encountered this problem always, from the first release of NT7
                        Never with NT6.5

                            Thanks for reporting back. Charts also loaded up fine here. I will do another test again tomorrow. If you ever see it again, please let us know and we'll start to put together what it takes to reproduce it.
