Does NT6.5.1000.19 work with TWS 921.5? Win7 x64

Hello,

I use Win 7 64bit, and have installed both Java 32 & 64 bit.

I just upgraded from TWS917.8 to 921.5.

TWS 921.5 is working fine on itself.

And when I connect NT7 to TWS 921.5, they both work well.

But when I connect NT6.5.1000.19 to TWS921.5 while TWS is already started, it will bring up the TWS logon again and again, and the TWS will become not responding.

If the TWS is not yet started, when I connect NT6.5 to IB connection, it will also bring up the TWS logon. After inputing the details, NT6.5 will keep on connecting, and TWS won't start up well.

Could anyone please confirm NT6.5 works with TWS921.5 (win7 x64)? If yes, I will further check with the network settings etc. at my end. Thanks.

Hello pipal,

Unfortunately TWS 921 will not work with NinjaTrader 6.5. You will need to upgrade NinjaTrader to version 7 to connect to IB using TWS 921.

Thanks Jason for your reply. Is this answer final, and is there any workaround that I can still use TWS and NT6.5 for some more time?

What if I use some other TWS version after 917.9?

You likely experience the issue with all TWS version after 917. Unfortunately I am not aware of a workaround to connect to IB in NinjaTrader 6.5.

I tried this workaround, and it appears to be working fine. This will at least give me some time before making some major change.
