Importing Tick data - Add Instrument

I have a large .txt of tick data and need to add the instrument first - $ERUSD - how do I do this? When I go into Instrument Editor I cannot add this as a master instrument because of the $ - please advise.

I had imported the data - only to read that I should first create the instrument to match.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for the post and welcome to the forums.

EURUSD should already be defined in the platform. $ denotes FOREX instrument, so those with type = Currency.

You would need to name the file $EURUSD.txt, and that should import into the EURUSD currency instrument.

Could not have been easier. Just select the currency and push it over to the Default Master List - see the $ gets attached. Not I can import the data -
