I want to download the Eur/$ cash data

Hi,

I'm interested to download historical and real time Eur/$ "cash" data in order to develop my algorithms on it. I have the last NT version and the last IB standalone software.

I don't want any Eur/$ futures, just the Eur/$ "cash" only.


Any suggestion will be highly appreciated .

IB should offer forex instruments as well. In NinjaTrader, you should be able to use the $EURUSD instrument if IB allows you to receive data for forex instruments. The symbol mapping should be preset.

If you go to Tools > Instrument Manager > Search for EURUSD it will show up.

The symbol mapping for IB appears to be EUR.USD

Thanks, I've already found it; so I got a last question:

If I want to download it the data Tick by tick is possible with NT? ( I got just by minute ) or Had I to buy it from Kinectick?

Hello,

The tick data would need to come from a data provider who offered this instrument/interval. More information about the different levels of historical data which each provider offers can be found here: http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...rical_data.htm
