Backups and Restores

I was thinking the restore process would ask me which features I would like to restore just like the Backup does. Well it doesn't. I dont suppose there is any way to recover my strategy (which I hadnt backed up in a while...my fault) after I restored a backup from december to fix my workspaces?

I feel like an idiot, but if there is a way I would LOVE to know.

Laserdan...it's all there...I see the options every day when I backup. BUT, I see that I have to shut down in order to show you where it is. I expect that one of the NT Tech's will chime in on this soon...

yes when I backup the choices are there. But not when i restored...

Unfortunately there is not an option to select which files you want to restore.

If you email us the backup file to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com, we may be able to extract the information you are looking for.

If the file is very large, please use a 3rd party service such as www.mediafire.com to attach the file. Please include 'Attn: Matthew' in the message and a refernece to this thread. Please also specify exactly what information you would need extracted.

Thank you but it looks like I will have to rewrite the strategy...

Just to be sure. I restored a backup with an old version of the strategy. there is no way to recover the work I have done on the strategy since the last time I backed up? That work is gone forever, Correct?

Not unless you have other backups with that work...

If you can backup your individual indicators and strategies from File--> Utilities--> Export NinjaScript. This will allow you to use more of a version control system to backup any changes you have made to these individual projects.
