Real Time MB Trading Tick Chart?

    Real Time MB Trading Tick Chart?

    There are a few old posts relating to this, but nothing recent.

    Can I use tick charts (say, 150 tick) from real time MB Trading forex data? I thought I had done this before.

    Now, when I connect to MB Trading, and ask for a tick chart, the chart comes up blank. This is after I remove all indicators or anything that may ask for historical data. Is this an issue with my Ninja, connection to MBT, or should I be unable to do this in the first place?

    So that I may further assist you please answer the following.

    1) What version of NinjaTrader are you using? You can check under Help -> About
    2) What version of MBT Desktop are you using? You can check by opening MBT Desktop and selecting About at the bottom right
    3) What instrument have you selected?
    4) Is there an error message listed in the Log tab of the Control Center?

      Hi Brandon,

      1. NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.6.
      2. NMT Navigator 11.6.0.0.
      3. EURUSD.
      4. No error message in the log tab.

      Interesting thing is that I have done this before. Now, no luck.

        Hmm. Looking at it more, I think that NT is not communicating with MB Trading.

        The past week, I have been exclusively using Market Replay and have not connected to MBT.

        When I open a chart (and chart - a daily chart for example), the chart ends at 2/8/2012, not today. Usually when I connect to MBT, NT thinks for a while as it downloads the latest data from MBT. Now when I connect, nothing happens.

        The lower left corner of the Control Center says it is connected to MBT. But, it seems like nothing is working.

        Why this spontaneous break!?

          Hello,

          Thanks for your reply.

          The current version of NinjaTrader is version 7.0.1000.9 and the required version of MBT Navigator is Version 11.8.0.38.


          To upgrade to NinjaTrader version 7.0.1000.9 please follow the link bellow.

          Under Current User paste your license key.
          You can locate your license key under Help> License key
          Select Download NinjaTrader
          Download Version 7.0.1000.9 (Current)
          Before running the installer ensure NinjaTrader is closed.


          With NinjaTrader version 7.0.1000.9 the current version of MBT Navigator is Version 11.8.0.38
          Please uninstall the current version and upgrade to MBT Navigator Version 11.8.0.38.

          Below I have provided a direct link to MBT Navigator Version 11.8.0.38.



          Additionally please use the steps below to change your Time Zone and sync the PC clock, note to set the server to time.nist.gov.

          You can sync your PC clock by double clicking on the clock in the lower right corner of your desktop. Press 'Change time zone...' Set the Time zone and press 'OK'.

          Once you have done that, click on Internet Time tab set the server to time.nist.gov and then click Update. Your PC clock should now be updated.

            No joy. I upgraded NT and MBNavigator as instructed and synced my clock.

            However, I may have said incorrectly above. Looking at the Log tab, I see the message "Mbt.Callback.UpdateAccount: unknown account 'xxxxxxxx' where xxxxxxx is my account number.

            I can log into MBNavigator alright by itself. And I can log in via web.
