Invalid Drive X:\ during install

Hi,

When I try installing v7.0.1000.8 (Current) of NinjaTrader on my XP SP2 + .NET 3.5 SP1 installation after running the setup.exe command and downloading the program I get a message box saying "Invalid Drive X:\".

Any ideas what is causing this and how I get around it?

Where is your x: drive located? Is this drive a local drive or a networked drive?

Installing on a network drive is NOT supported. As the database technology is SQL CE, which does not support use from a network drive.

Also, with Windows XP, service pack 3 is required for the install.





Please let me know if your x: drive is located on a network or if it is a local disk.

I don't have an X:\ drive!! See image.

I'm trying to install it locally on C:\

I've just installed SP3 and samething. By the way, this is a french version of the OS, shouldn't make a difference though I suspect.

Hi,

It seems like the registry of my computer was corrupted, referencing X:\ drives even when I didn't have any. Problem fixed by changing all X:\ drives to something more meaningful.
