Data Box Disappearing

I recently switched the position of my monitors on my desk and parts of the old workspaces disappeared off screen and I figured I needed to switch the monitor positions back in the control panel which I did and then resave the workspaces which worked for the charting part but the data box likes the old positioning and won't come back....

Any solution to a fix on this....??? Thanks for any help

Can you please tell me what operating system you are using? What type of video card do you have? (Nvidia, ATI, Intel, etc).

It's ATI.. and Windows 7...but to clarify I can get the databox back by switching the monitor position back in the control panel so I don't think its a hardware problem...I just need a solution that allows me to place the databox with the new workspace setting and it stay there....

I know it's not a hardware problem, but some Nvdia drivers have an option to prevent windows from opening off screen so I was hoping we could just turn that feature on for you.

Please use the following steps to move the Data Box.

* Hold SHIFT + Right Click on the Data Box item in the Windows Taskbar
* Select 'Move'
* Press the '<-' arrow key on your keyboard
* Without pressing any other button, move your mouse.
* Your Data Box should be anchored to the cursor.
* Left click to 'plant' the Data Box.

You also could exit NinjaTrader, and simply edit your _Workspaces.xml with notepad, and in the databox section of the XML, set the location back to 0;0 and the size to something reasonable like 100;100, then restart the platform. It's a simple file format and if you scroll through it you'll find where this is stored. You can edit the same thing in the workspace file in question. With Notepad, search for <DataBox and it will take you right to it. Note though that if you edit _Workspaces there's a separate storage for the data box for each workspace by name.
