File error: exporting results to Excel 2010

Hi Folks,

Any one getting an error when exporting from the grids in the Strategy Analyzer to Excel 2010. I just installed Office 2010 and now I'm getting this error every time I export. I still get the data, but have to deal with a message box every time; very annoying

Hello daqu40,

Unfortunately I have not seen any similar reports before. Perhaps an uninstall/reinstall of Excel will solve the error message.

What does the error message exactly state?

It says "File error: data may have been lost."

I've also uninstalled and re-installed both NT and Office 2010 a few times recently. It's not helped.

My data does all seem to be there. Just having to click something each time before I can see my export is something I'd like to avoid.

Thank you for clarifying. Unfortunately I am not quite sure how to resolve this Excel error. I searched the web a little and came across some links that handle this error message. Perhaps they will be helpful for you solving the error.

Such error must be excel file corruption

FYI,

I ran into this problem and, in my case, it was caused because one of my Market Analyzer indicators was plotting values with negative zeros. It seems that excel doesn't like that and you won't be able to export from NT into excel. I "fixed" the indicator to plot zeros rather than negative zeros and - voila - problem solved.
