Converting tick data to minute data

Hi

short question, I imported Forex tick data from 2007 - 2012. How can I now convert this tick data into minute data?

Hello Michael,

Thank you for your note.

When importing data by going to Tools-->Historical Data Manager please enable the option "Generate 'Minute' bars from imported tick data" and NinjaTrader convert this data automatically for you.

there it is and I didn't saw it!

Question, when the data is imported can I do something to convert it or is it better to delete it and import it again?

No problem at all, glad to help out.

Unfortunately you will be required to delete the current data and import once again with this option enabled.


To delete the Tick data you have imported please use the steps I have provided below:

• Close NinjaTrader
• Documents
• NinjaTrader 7
• Open the db folder
• Open the tick folder
• Delete the instrument folder you have imported data for
• Open NinjaTrader and you may import again
