Hello,

can I restore my backup from NT 7.1000.7 after I have installed NT....8 now?
I miss all the indicators, strategies and templates after removing everything - because of issues with some added indicators.

Thank you for your post.

You can indeed restore a backup from NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.7 to 7.0.1000.8.

To do this, disconnect from all account connections and go to File > Utilities > Restore... Then select the Backup file to which you would like to restore your settings.

Restoring your previous settings may also restore the indicator that had been causing the errors. Since this is the case, you may want to compile all NinjaScript files to check for errors.

Please follow the instructions below to compile your NinjaScript files and see where the errors are coming from. This will allow you to debug the indicator/strategy or remove it from your PC. If you are wondering why you receive an error when compiling only one indicator, it is because NinjaTrader compiles all indicators and strategies at once--not just one.

• Open NinjaTrader
• From the NinjaTrader Control Center select the Tools menu--> select the Edit NinjaScript menu item--> select Indicator
• Select any indicator and double click on it.
• A new window will appear and you will need to right click in the window and select Compile to compile the indicators.
• At the bottom of the window a new section will appear were you can find the error locations.
• From there you have the option to remove the indicator or debug it.
