Changing folder ?

Hello,

is it possible to change the folder C:\My Documents\NinjaTrader Backup permanently to some other directory on an other disc?

For example the NinjaTrader Backup is in that folder. I wish to to it in the directory G:\My Documents\NinjaTrader Backup

Thank you for your post.

Unfortunately that is not supported as all NinjaTrader files must be in their default C drive locations. You can of course copy any folders you want to backup and place them in another location just as a back up.

So there is no way to backup to another drive and yes I know I can copy to another drive?

This is a bit of a pain because if your drive is full your backup does not complete and just closes without an option to find more space, you should at least be given an option as critical details may be lost!

Thanks for your reply.

When running a backup of NinjaTrader you are able to specify where you would like the backup saved.

To do this go to File> Utilities> Backup
Select what items you want to backup
Under Archive select the file path and backup name for the file
Example: G:\My Documents\NinjaTrader Backup\2012-08-17.ntbk
Then select Run Backup
