Simulator Currency Commission Interactive Brokers

I use Interactive Brokers. They have a $2.50 minimum commission/per side on currency transcations. I tried to code this in the simulator options as $2.50 for 100,000 euros [eurusd] but the commissions are not showing up on the trades.

I as sure there is a simple solution. I may not have units correct. Please assist.

Can you please clarify exactly which line (provider) you used to set this up? Are you using "Currency - Simulator" or "Currency - Interactive Brokers"?

You will want to ensure you have input this on the correct provider. Simulator refers to the simulated data feed which is a separate connection used for testing purposes.

Also please note that the commissions will not appear for any previously executed trades - they will only apply for any trades placed moving forward.

Ok, i used currency interactive brokers this time; however, i put $2.5/100000 units and i get commission of about $25,000. Can seem to get unit correct. Can you assist?

Interactive Brokers forex commission is $0.20 per basis point. 1 basis point = 0.0001.

How do I code that in the commission? The minimum charge of $2.50 works.

You will only be able to setup a tiered commission rate based off of the number of units traded. Unfortunately the IB commission structure which is based per point would not be support in NinjaTrader at this time.
