why ^tick chart does not update data

    why ^tick chart does not update data

    I am using cgq as datafeed.
    I can only see new data by click "reload historical data" button.
    what shoud I do to solve it?

      there is no any errors in log.
      And I can reveive other real data well.

        Please confirm you have index data enabled with the steps I have provided below.
        • Disconnect
        • Tools
        • Account Connections
        • Select your connection
        • Change
        • Next
        • Next
        • Enable "Include index data"
        • Next
        • Finish
        • Reconnect

        If the issue persists please contact your broker to verify your account is authorized for Indexes.

          I have already tried it and the problem persists.
          The cqg account can surely use indexes and their customer support say that
          they are unable to assist with this issue.
          Is there anyone esle faces the updating issue before and how did they solve it?

            Yes you may view Indexes while connected to CQG if your account is configured for this service.

            Is your account held with AMP Futures? If so please go to www.ampfutures.com and sign in to the Client Portal and on the left there should be an option to view what the account is setup for.

            Please tell me what is listed and what your account shows as authorized for.

              Somewhere along the line CQG decided that the NYSE TICK is a Dow Jones index instead of a NYSE one. You have to ask AMP to enable the Dow Indices. I believe it costs $5 per month or so.

              I took the simpler tack of just opening a chart layout in TOS with TICK and a few other market internals. I watch the market internals anyway, so it was not so onerous to bring back the TICK into the layout.

                How do I make a chart like this one I use with ESignal

                I am at a loss to build a chart on different TF with internals in the sub charts.

                  To add additional instruments to your chart in seperate panels please left mouse cilck within your chart then type + and the symbol then hit Enter such as + ES 06-12, + ^TICK, etc.

                    Thanks for the prompt reply - i am using cqg datafeed through AMP futures - but when I tryed to add the ^add line , nothing happens.

                        OK the Dow indices were not checked in the check box - so I I put a check in there. Then I hit the submit button. It came back with platform setup correctly. I then tried what you suggested : disconnect make sure index button is checked and reconnected and still nothing

                          Do you receive data for any of the Indexes such as ^TICK?

                              It appears CQG does not offer the combined NYSE Advancing/Declining Issues and they would need to be plotted seperately with ^ADV and ^DECL.
