    SMA with Standard Deviation Bands

    I am looking for a SMA with standard deviation bands like VWAP. Is this the same thing as Bollinger bands? Because I have a 200-period sma magenta, and a 200-period bollinger bands orange on my chart. But the 200sma and the 200sma from the bollinger bands do not line up...

    Hello pbylina,

    Yes, Bollinger uses standard deviation to calculate the upper and lower bands. The middle band of Bollinger is a SMA.

    You can view source code by clicking Tools > Edit NinjaScript > Indicator > Selecting Bollinger and open.

    For your chart, make sure all indicators are using the same Scale Justification. Check this in the Right Click > Indicators screen.
